The Brazilian soccer team begins a strategic alliance with the Ecuadorian Company Kin Analytics
Kin Analytics, and the Porto Alegre, Brazil soccer club Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense announce a strategic alliance to provide analytical consulting to the team on their Project for Monitoring and Soccer Performance using the SAP platform HANA.
Seeking to automate the process of performance analytics already in place within the club, and with the reduction of manual work by their analysts, Grêmio is initializing the implementation of SAP Team Performance and establishing SAP HANA as the club’s management platform.
“We are taking advantage of these initiatives to adopt new analytical methods built by the club’s professionals along with Kin Analytics. Statistical analyses and metrics will be used to take advantage of our experience and to exploit the potential offered by the solution implemented”, says Antonio Dutra Junior, Vice-President of Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, responsible for the implementation of SAP for the club.
Using a very high volume of data generated for each game, Grêmio and Kin Analytics work together to build new performance reports for the team and its rivals. “Kin Analytics seeks to help organizations discover, create, and implement competitive advantages through data Analytics. We have experience in the world of sports analytics and we hope to contribute to the new processes implemented by Grêmio using SAP”, says Andrés Pérez, co-founder and CEO of Kin Analytics, working personally in the project.
The implementation of new performance analysis methodologies will be validated and gradually put into production by Grêmio’s team of professionals, in an automatic process, using modern tools of visualization.
